The GOSMIC (Ground Operation System and Mission Intelligence Center) satellite ground segment is a product line developed by CS GROUP, based on its long-term experience developing and integrating Control Centers, Mission Planning, Programming Systems and Production Centers. All products composing GOSMIC Ground Segment consider both New Space requirements (faster development, simpler deployment and cost reduction) and “Smart” Space expectations (Reliability, Performance and wide constellation support).
GOSMIC is based on an integration of CS GROUP products for each of the ground segment functional blocks:
GOSMIC comes with many advantages brought through its new generation ground segment architecture.
CS' GOSMIC products are designed for constellations management providing a user-friendly operator interface allowing switching monitoring views from one satellite to another with a single click. GOSMIC product line also offers a centralized satellite configuration (common parameters declared once in a single place, same configuration and/or satellite database applicable to several satellites).
All GOSMIC components are micro-service based with web MMI and back-ends allowing services access through REST APIs. GOSMIC Ground Segment can thus be totally automated using its scheduler SPnode.
CS' GOSMIC components architecture is very flexible by design and allows an easy integration of new satellites. CS' GOSMIC solution makes it possible to manage heterogenous constellations. Whether satellites are positioned in various orbits or have different platforms, CS' GOSMIC components can handle all the situations.
In Orbit Services missions involve activities conducted on satellites in space to extend their lifespan, improve performance, and ensure functionality. Key services include satellite refueling, repair, relocation, debris removal, inspection, and in-orbit assembly. Our Flight Dynamics System OREFLIDS is used in this context for ADRAS-J mission.
These missions involve deploying satellites to monitor and collect data about Earth’s surface and atmosphere. They provide critical information for environmental monitoring, global water resource management, climate change studies, natural disaster management, agriculture, and urban planning. GOSMIC mission center MAPS is dedicated to this kind of missions.
These missions aim at providing global communication services and support the Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity. Satellites constellations are deployed here to offer broadband internet, telephony, and data transmission services, particularly in remote or underserved areas. GOSMIC control center CSNano is specially designed to manage satellites constellations.
GOSMIC Product Line covers both Operations capabilities and Image Processing Ground Segment components. Operation part is composed of CSNano Control Center, OREFLIDS Flight Dynamics System, MAPS Mission Center and SPnode for Automation. Image Processing part is powered with METIS Product Line Building Blocks and covers : Processing Center, Calibration & Validation Center and Image Cataloging.
All GOSMIC components can be deployed using a single common core providing system monitoring, security functions (User management and IAM), easy deployment on premise or in the cloud, common services and ensuring low hardware coupling. This IT Infrastructure asset is called METIS core.
